Energy & Health Conscious Equipment

Dietz Construction specializes in building energy-efficient and health conscious homes. You may choose from many different methods to heat and cool your home while keeping your energy costs low and air quality high. The following explains the heating, cooling, and air exchange methods used in a Dietz Construction home.

IN-FLOOR HEATING SYSTEM

You may choose to install an in-floor heating system to the basement, main level, and/or garage floors of your new home. An in-floor tubing system is embedded in the concrete or placed under the floor system. A micro-boiler is used to circulate a heated solution throughout the floor for a radiant heat source. This heat helps maintain a comfortable temperature and reduces the amount of work on your heating system.

Dietz Construction is proud to use Lennox Air Conditioners and Heat Pumps in the homes we build. Not only are Lennox products energy efficient and dependable, they also help with the preservation of the environment. These products use R410A refrigerant, which meets the EPA’s standards for environmental safety. Because R410A contains no chlorine, it’s ozone-friendly. GOETHERMAL TECHNOLOGY

An alternative to conventional air conditioners and furnaces, you may choose to use geothermal technology to cool and heat your new home. Dietz Construction uses the ColdClimate GeoSource Heat Pump from Econar. Geothermal technology uses heat from below the earth’s surface, where the temperature is constant, to heat your new home. The constant temperature is warmer than winter air and cooler than summer air. While energy efficient furnaces can be up to 98% efficient, the GeoSource can reach efficiencies of 300% to 400%. AIR EXCHANGERS

Dietz Construction requires the installation of air exchangers to cleanse the air you breathe in your new home. Because of our energy efficient home building process, your new home will be virtually air-tight. To keep the air in your new home clean and fresh, Dietz Construction recommends the use of Lifebreath Heat Recovery Ventilators. These products draw fresh, oxygen-laden air from the outside, filters it from impurities, and distributes it throughout your new home. Stale, polluted air is constantly being replaced by fresh, clean air. To learn more about the Lifebreath products, visit their website at

WATER HEATERS
